Make sure your message is understood
Now emails are the main way of communication. Are your emails read? Is it invoking the action you are waiting. Is follow up necessary?
Emails are sent to be read, but busy people receive so many emails and requires quite a bit of diligence on the recipient to take action. Sometimes emails go straight to junk box.
Phone call on the other hand is a more sure way to communicate and invoke response. Important communication should be either followed up by a phone call or a follow up email.
Also, I believe a phone call always adds a personal touch to the communication. As mentioned in the last blog, communication represents who we are. A personal touch is one of the elements of good service.
A communication that the recipient can imagine the sender's face is much more likely to invoke the action the sender needs. Let's be a good communicator by personal touch and follow up.
