Imitating

I wrote that we need to be good at imitating in order to grow quickly. Also, it is important to find the right company, person, or process that we want to imitate.

Imitation starts from understanding the essential part of what we are trying to imitate. This requires comparison. In order to compare, we need to have something to compare with.

The essential part of what we are trying to imitate is always composed of the company, person, or process's vision, values, or objectives. In order to understand, we need to have our own vision, values, or objectives. We need to understand ourselves deeply in order to understand the essential part of what we are trying to imitate.

Honestly, this process may require embarrassment. We discover that we really have a lot of things we need to improve. It will force us to think of our vision, values, and worldviews. But reflecting on these at least occasionally is a good thing that will make our lives richer and fruitful.

What is your worldview? What are the things you value the most? Are they somethings that have life long ramifications? It's good to take time to think of these things occasionally.
