Connecting the dots1

My kids used to love connecting dots on a piece of paper. Those things that kids get on luncheon mats at a restaurant where dots are numbered and you trace the dots to come up with a picture.

When you start, you don’t know what’s going to appear, but as you connect the dots with lines, may be at half way, you know the picture you are going to get.
There are two fun elements to this activity. The first fun is the process of figuring out what you are getting. The other fun part is the process of completing the picture or may be even painting them.

Most of us is in a stage which we are trying to figure out what the entire picture will come out like. Working on our career and see what life will come out to be like. We would like to know what we will turn out to be but you never know until you are at least half way done. The process may be frustrating but each step you take will get you closer to figuring out how things will turn out.

It is not until you have done a lot or work until you start enjoying completing what you have started. It takes a lot of work, but once you are there, it can be very enjoyable.

Professional growth is just like this
