A cool company
Everybody wants the company they work for to be cool. Everybody wants the company they work for a special company. I think we have a good shot at that.
We want to be a different kind of an accounting firm. There are tens of thousands of accounting firms in the US. Can you name a "cool" accounting firm?
The world does not really need another accounting firm. It needs a cool accounting firm that provides the best value. I want us to be such accounting firm.
We are trying many things. Many things that I think will make our company a "cool" company. We are going through trial and errors. Unless we try, we do not know if it will work. Failure is one way of discovering ways that will not work. We will keep on trying new things, because that is the only way we can be a "cool" company.

Confidence
What will happen when we cease to exist? Will our clients miss us very much? Or will they find another accounting firm and go on with their business as usual?
It may sound arrogant, but I believe our clients will miss us. I am pretty confident that most of our clients are getting the best value in town. I believe everybody in our organization needs this kind of confidence. Because it is fun working with confidence, and clients will feel that.
Note that I wrote "most of our clients." I know that some of our clients are not feeling that they are getting the best value, they do not feel the excitement, and are not raving fans. When we communicate with those clients, we kind of know they are not 100% satisfied, and that will take away the fun of business unless we have confidence in our service and have the confidence that we can improve the relationship.
Is everyone in our team feeling the same confidence? Probably not. Then how can we increase our confidence? Confidence as a team and as individual professionals? This is another way of expressing our mission statement, 1) Best and fastest and creative service, 2) build a sample company, and 3) contribute to the growth of each members. Everything we are doing circles around these themes.
We are in a process of building up our confidence. If you have any idea that will help us build up our confidence, please share it with the team members.

Everybody likes to have more options. People want to be rich because we think money will give us more options. Options to do more things we want to do.
We are not just working because we want to earn more money. Money is a means to have more options in life. But money is not the only factor to have more options.
How can we be in a place where we will have more options? If we can finish all work in 4 days, there will be a lot of things we can think of. We will have more options to choose what we would like to do. We can take more days off, we can challenge more things, or make more money. Let’s continue to speed up our process so that we will have more options.

Without commitment we can achieve nothing. Commitment always requires a price to pay. It may be time, reputation, money, etc. Sometimes we need to go into the burning furnace to risk so much.
A team that is not afraid to going into a furnace will win. We want to be a team that is not afraid of going into a furnace, but will encourage each other to do so. We don’t need luke warm people. We need committed team members. Committed people will make the difference.

Reflect the week
So, how did we do this week? How did you do this week? How was your chargeablity? Billing? Speed? How did you do in sales and system improvements? Did you make advancements to your vision?
It’s important to reflect on how you/we have done every week and try to make the following week a better one.
I think we have made some advancements. I see new systems being implemented. I saw improvement in speed. I would like to see improvement in the speed of sales activities, but generally was a good first week as to the beginning of the new beginning.
This week, let’s get everything done in 4 days and concentrate on other things on Friday. We should be able to do it. We just need to improve our speed a little more.
